Project: Bathroom Remodel

PhotobucketRemodeling your bathroom is an easy place to start when updating the interior of your house. It is among the top home improvements with the highest return on investment. Adding a new bathroom will often recoup at least 90% of your investment upon the sell of your home. Remodeling an existing bathroom will usually pay back around 80%-90%.

First decide on a budget. Are you going to go big or small? Some options for smaller renovations include a new vanity, light fixtures, paint, wanes coating and bathtub resurfacing. If you are looking to completely renovate you bathroom you could always install dual sinks for added convenience, a whirlpool bathtub or double head shower, marble counter tops and radiant floor heating to keep your feet warm and cozy.

We recommend looking through magazines and photos online to gather ideas and get a general theme or feel for your new room. Collectively our employees have great design ideas that you may not have thought of from paint colors to organization ideas. Here is an example of abathroom remodel that K&D Remodeling has completed recently.

Project: Curb Appeal

Paint and garage door installation completed by K&D Remodeling prior to victorian accents.

In this project we added some custom built victorian inspired accents to drastically change the curb appeal of this 1970's built ranch house. The unfinished victorian millwork accents were purchased online and painted red to match the columns and front door. Between the accents is a custom built spandrel. The dowels were measured and cut to size and then nailed into place an equal distance apart from each other. They were then painted and installed. The most labor intensive and asthetically pleasing portion of the project was the columns. They were custom built around the existing pole and then contrastingly painted to add detail to the appearance of the finished product. The project took about 20 hours and not only made the re-sale value of the home go up but also allowed the home-owners personal tastes to shine through.
